Regardless of the internal temperature the DD122FW “Simple” Desiccant Dehumidifier will remove 8 litres of water per day regardless of where it is used. Typically this extraction rate is equivalent to a 20 litre compressor dehumidifier used in your home. Operating Modes:
The DD122FW “Simple” has a rotary humidistat control with a wide range of settings to suit all applications. Two fan speeds are set via a selector switch.
Heating
The air discharged from a DD122FW Simple can be several degrees warmer than the air entering and this can be very useful for drying laundry. It also has the added benefit of warming colder areas.
Weight
Because there is no compressor the DD122FW-Simple weighs considerably less than a refrigerated type dehumidifier. Sound
The sound that this dehumidifier makes is also less than a compressor type model. On its lowest setting you can just make out a slight fan noise. Low speed sound levels are 34dBA and high speed 48dBA Power Consumption
Similar to other desiccant machines the wattage of the DD122FW “Simple” Desiccant Dehumidifier is higher than with a compressor based dehumidifier. The wattage varies between 360 watts on normal fan speed to 620 watts on high fan speed. But do remember that desiccant machines get the job done faster at lower temperatures and are therefore operating for less time and so the result is that running costs are very similar or may be less when the dehumidifier is used in a colder environment. This machine has auto-restart after a power failure which is useful for unoccupied areas. Laundry Mode
The DD122FW ”Simple” desiccant dehumidifier has a laundry mode for rapid dehumidification ideal for drying clothes inside. This is essentially a mode where the dehumidifier is running constantly but where the fan speed can be manually altered between low and high. A manually adjustable louvre on the top directs the warm air exhaust enabling the unit to blow directly onto clothes, further reducing the drying time. |
